Ranmaru Yuki Kaji, at the greeting stage for the first time, “Okay, that’s enough!”


Voice Actor Saori Hayami went with Yūki Kaji and Takahiro Sakurai appeared on the greeting stage for the first day of the anime movie “Gekijoban Haikara-san ga Toru Zenpen: Benio, Hana no 17-sai” (directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi) which was held in Tokyo on November 11.

Yūki Kaji – who plays Ranmaru – the character who played the female role in Kabuki and childhood friend of Benio explained how to transform into the character. “Ranmaru is always cute, right? Things like saying, “Okay, that’s enough” (in Ranmaru’s voice) is not a voice acting but my voice in daily life. I have been allowed to work and experience how to achieve that voice tone”.

Sakurai, voice actor of Tousei Aoe, Director of Jōdansha Publishing Company, mentioned the character’s charisma, “Because of the structure of the monologues, you can see the parts that have been shown and (moreover) also emotional changes”.

“Haikara-san ga Tōru” is a comic romantic book set in the Taisho period, which tells the love story between Hanamura Benio “Haikara-san” who has strong personality and good skills of sword art, and her fiancé, Ijūin Shinobu.
