Trailer of “Nomitori Samurai” starring Hiroshi Abe was released.

Trailer of historical movie “Nomitori Samurai” (directed by Yasuo Tsuruhashi, to be premiered on 18th May) starred by Hiroshi Abe, was released on 25th January.

In the video, Hironoshin Kobayashi – who once was an elite samurai (by Abe) angers the Overlord, so he is punished and has to earn his living by catching fleas for cats “Nomitori”. In the other scene, Omine (by Shinobu Terajima) insults Hironoshin “You are a loser!” when seeing Abe in the Fundosh loincloths.
The movie is based on historical novel “Nomitori Samurai” by Shigeo Komatsu (Kobunsha).

The movie is about the samurai who has 2 jobs at the same time: “Nomitori – catching fleas for cats” and “Nomitori”- bringing love for the women.”

Etsushi Toyokawa, Takumi Saito, Morio Kazama, Shinobu Otake, Atsuko Maeda and Bunshi Katsura also appeare in the movie.

The film poster Ukiyoe was also published with unique design inspired by Ukiyoe painting “Actor Otani Oniji 3rd as the yakko Edobei” by Ukiyoe Sharaku Toushuusai. The poster illustrates one fly flying near the nose of Abe – the person who has a kiss mark on his neck.
