On 14th March, the trailer of the movie “50th first kiss” was released. It was also revealed that Ken Hirai would perform the theme song, in addition to the confirmed information for instance: the movie is co-starred by actor Takayuki Yamada and actress Masami Nagasawa, and directed by Yuichi Fukada from “Gintama”.
Ken Hirai shared that he really loved the Hollywood original movie “50 first dates” (directed by Peter Segal, released in 2004) and when he got invited by the film crew, he could feel his ‘destiny’ with this movie. He also said: “Although love is normally something that people constantly build over the years, but maybe it can also be built and cherished in the forgetfulness loop of every day. With that thinking, I wrote this song.”
The story centers the touching love story of the main characters: Yuge Daisuke (by Yamada Takashi), a part-time tour guide studying astronomy on Oaho island, Hawaii and who is also a “playboy” and Fujishima Rui (by Nagasawa Masami) who is suffering from amnesia after a catastrophic accident and her memnory gets reset everynight. One day, they accidentally meet at a cafe and Yuge falls in love with Fushijima at first sight. Determined that she is the love of his life, he seeks every way to conquer her heart despite her amnesic syndrome keeps separating their love.
