Trailer of the movie “Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle” (co-directed by Shizuno Kobun and Hiroyuki Seshita; premiered on May 18) – the second animated film in “Godzilla” franchise was released on April 19.
The highly-mobile piloted mechas controlled by Haruo has appeared, and they are utilized as the weapon to battle against Godzilla Earth. Besides an aboriginal tribe called the “Houtua”, descendants of the humans left behind who rescues Harou also appear.
In addition, the secret of Mechagodzilla will be revealed in the second chapter.
Anime depicts the story of Godzilla who has reigned over the earth for 20,000 years and the fate of the humanity.
The movie is co-directed by Shizuno (“Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare “) and Seshita (anime “Demi-Human”).
Additionally, it is written by Gen Urobuchi (“Mahō Shōjo Madoka ☆ Magica”, “Fate／Zero”) and animated by Polygon Pictures (“Sidonia no Kishi”, “Demi-Human”, etc.)
